His books include, in the order of their publication: ''Waltz in Marathon'' (1983), ''Crows'' (1985), ''With or Without'' (a short story collection; 1987), ''The Widows' Adventures'' (1989), ''Rumor Has It'' (1991), ''A Shortcut in Time'' (2003) and its sequel, ''A Family in Time'' (2012). HarperCollins publishers will be making his first five books available as e-books within the next year.
